Career Opportunities |
The Diploma has been designed for those who hold or wish to hold higher management positions. These roles would involve providing support to senior management in a larger retail outlet or being responsible for the management of a retail store.
On completion of this Diploma. Graduates can continue on to Advanced Diplomas in other areas or higher education.

Entry Requirements |
Can be undertaken over 24 months full time or part time equivalent.
Those wishing to gain entry into the Diploma will be recognised as competent against the following units of competency
WRRER1B Work effectively in a retail environment
WRRCS1B Communicate in the workplace
PLUS EITHER:
WRRCS4B Coordinate interaction with customers OR
WRRS4B Build relationships with customers
OR Have previous experience in a retail environment. The job role would have involved application of skill and knowledge to a wide range of contexts and included responsibility for own outputs and some responsibility for the quality and output of others.
Students can enter at any stage. The training is ongoing to ensure there are no waiting periods for training to start.

Certificate Requirements |
A total of sixteen (16) units of competency must be completed. This comprises of: Ten (10) core units, and Six (6) elective units. Core units in the Diploma previously completed as part of the Certificate IV in Retail Management qualification will be credited toward this Diploma qualification.
Elective units selected must be from those not already completed at Certificate IV level.

Infastructure Requirements |
IIFP must be granted access to workplace staff and training/assessment rescources
    to meet the requirements of candidates with special needs and modify
    an assessment approach that incorporates reasonable adjustments to their needs. |

No further training options are available after the Diploma.
