Plans, develops, implements and evaluates training and development programs, to ensure management and staff acquire the skills and develop the competencies required by the organisation.

Tasks May Include:
  • identifying and determining the need for training, through identifying competencies and defining training requirements in the work environment
  • designing, developing and assesses staff training and development, through the use of plans, programs and methods that support the organisation's human resource development strategy
  • setting human resource development objectives and evaluating learning outcomes
  • compiling training manuals, visual aids and materials
  • assessing computer-aided instruction and other training methods
  • liaising with external training providers to arrange delivery of specific training or development programs
  • providing information to promote internal and external training and development, and evaluating these promotional activities
  • advising management on the development and placement of staff and providing career counselling sessions for employees
Duration
18 months part time if undertaken in active educational employment.
Requirements
Entrants to the Diploma must have the core units of the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence.

A minimum of 5 units must be TAA coded units packaged within the Diploma listed below. Up to 2 of the 7 elective units may be selected from the identified imported units listed below or from any other Diploma qualification.1 of the 2 elective units may be selected from TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment electives or from any other Certificate IV.
