This course has been designed to develop the first line management skills of those working in the retail industry. It applies to those who are managing a small retail outlet, or a section or department within a larger retail store.
On completion of this Certificate. Graduates can progress through various levels up to Diploma, using a range of study modes
Entry Requirements
Can be undertaken over 24 months full time or part time equivalent. Those wishing to gain entry into this Certificate will be recognised as competent against the core units of competency from either the Certificate III in Retail Supervision or the Certificate III in retail Operations, OR have sufficient relevant retail employment experience to equate to the above or indicate likely success at this level of qualification. A job role that involved the demonstrated application of the above competencies over an extended period, typically in the order of two years, would be a satisfactory indicator.

Three (3) core units, and
Seven (7) elective units
A minimum of 4 elective units must be selected from the Elective Units listed below.
A maximum of 3 elective units may be selected from another endorsed Training Package. These must be units which are packaged within a Certificate IV or Diploma qualification in the parent Training Package.
Elective units must be additional to those already counted towards a lower level qualification within this Training Package.
