Tasks May Include:
  • Operating and maintaining equipment
  • Identifying and preparing materials
  • Calculating and formulating
  • Grading and quality inspection
  • Advising on selection and manufacturing / preparation
Duration
Can be undertaken over 24 months full time or 48 months part time equivalent
Requirements
A total of 12 units of competency must be completed
  • Select 5 units from Group A below
  • Select 5 additional units from Group A and/or B below
  • Select 2 additional units from Group B and/or C below
Units should be selected from Group A and Group B in accordance with local work undertaken and local industry advice.

RTE4301A Conduct major repair and overhaul of machinery and equipment
RTE4302A Design and fabricate milking machine installations

RTE5301A Design livestock effluent systems
GROUP B
RTC4701A Implement and monitor the enterprise OHS program
RTC4702A Minimise risks in the use of chemicals
RTC4908A Supervise work routines and staff performance
RTC4911A Operate within a budget framework
RTE4309A Design and install on-farm milk cooling and storage
RTE4915A Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures
GROUP C
This Group includes other units of competency from RTE03 Rural Production, and/or other endorsed Training Packages within our scope.

Requirements
IIFP must be granted access to workplace staff and training/assessment rescources
    to meet the requirements of candidates with special needs and modify
    an assessment approach that incorporates reasonable adjustments to their needs.

    up to Advanced Diploma, using a range of study modes.
