Career Opportunities

To operate as: Farm Hand (Grain).

Tasks May Include:

Operating and maintaining equipment
Identifying and preparing materials
Calculating and formulating
Grading and quality inspection
Advising on selection and manufacturing / preparation

Duration

Can be undertaken over 12 months full time or 24 months part time equivalent

Requirements

A total of 17 units of competency must be completed

Select 9 units from Group A (including the 4 designated compulsory units)
Select 5 additional units from Group A and/or B below
Select 3 additional units from Group A and Group B and/or C below

Units should be selected from Group A and Group B in accordance with local work undertaken and local industry advice.

GROUP B

PUAFIR209A	Work safely around aircraft
RTC2210A	Maintain properties and structures
RTD2313A	Clean machinery of plant, animal and soil material
RTD2703A	Operate in isolated and remote situations
RTE2212A	Prepare grain storage
RTE2601A	Assist with the operation of gravity fed irrigation
RTE2503A	Observe and report on weather
RTE2605A	Maintain gravity fed irrigation systems
RTE2707A	Follow site quarantine procedures

GROUP C
This Group includes other units of competency from RTE03 Rural Production, and/or other endorsed Training Packages within our scope.

Requirements

IIFP must be granted access to workplace staff and training/assessment rescources
to meet the requirements of candidates with special needs and modify

up to Advanced Diploma, using a range of study modes.
