This course has been designed for an advanced food processing production operator who is involved in a retail and plant baking enterprise. It offers the opportunity for a person to work as a pastry cook in the baking sector of the industry.
  Tasks May Include:
    Operating and maintaining equipment
    Identifying and preparing materials
    Calculating and formulating
    Grading and quality inspection
    Advising on selection and manufacturing / preparation

Entry Requirements |
Can be undertaken over 24 months full time or 36 months part time equivalent. Students can enter at any stage. The training is ongoing to ensure there are no waiting periods for training to start.

Certificate Requirements |
4 Core units plus total of 16 specialist/optional units incl. 3 units made up of:
    1 unit from the AQF 1 specialist or optional sets.
    At least 1 and up to 2 units from the AQF 3 specialist or optional sets.
    A maximum of 1 unit from the AQF 2 specialist or optional sets.

Infastructure Requirements |
IIFP must be granted access to workplace staff and training/assessment rescources
